At Etón, I was granted the role to initiate the design process of the products. Through hand sketches and computer renditions, visuals were created to push dialogue further between industrial designers and engineers. Taking strategic lead from marketing and sales, to communicate and manage brands. Etón gave me the chance to experience building brands, building products and building skills all under the same roof.

The first two products that I designed from concept to production was the clipray and the blackout buddy. These products proved to be effective in the market place.

In my experience, designing product revealed that with design thinking, 2D and 3D virtually present similar problems. Color, space, layout, functionality, usability, material and communication all play a part in the design process of both fields. As a result of working on two playing fields, the branding became an easy transition as packaging, specifications graphics, manuals, photography and ads eventually came into play.
